Sketchy

It's been a really long time since I took the time to create art. I just have so many other unimportant things *like checking my FaceBook* to be doing. Two days ago, I took a beautiful photo of the baby with her Uncle James and Aunt Julie.

I decided that I wanted to attempt to sketch that photo. I didn't trust my ability to get the proportion of Julie's narrow fingers correct, so I just drew James with Lucie. I think his finger proportions aren't perfect either. I'm terrible at drawing hands!

What makes me most happy about this sketch is that, independent of having seen the photo, people know that it's supposed to be James. It may not be 100% perfect, but at least everyone else can see what I see in it.
